Gardening in southwest Florida is unlike anywhere in the world. Growing
conditions are often ideal. Warm year-round temperatures, generous rainfall, and
sunny days encourage plants and people. This microclimate offers a unique pallet
of foliage, flowers, and fruit for gardeners to enjoy.
Enthusiasm alone does not make a great gardener: knowledge, effort and
experience complete the package. You are most productive and successful when you
are familiar with seasons, soils, plant selection, attractive, useful
arrangement, insects, diseases, weeds, and many unseen enemies of plant life.
Our objective is to give you a wide exposure to ornamental horticulture. We look
at the entire state of Florida, then focus on the southern zone, finally concentrating on Lee and Collier counties.

Company Profile
"'I am away from the phone right now. I am either pulling weeds or planting
seeds.' That's my typical phone message, and the essence of gardening -
manipulating plant growth by encouraging the good plants and discouraging the
competition" says Bob Cook.
Weeds and Seeds was founded by Bob who planted his first garden in
Southwest Florida in 1988.
